The 2004-2005 invasion of Bohemian Waxwings Bombycilla garrulus in Switzerland.

The invasion of Waxwings in 2004-2005 was the most important that Switzerland has seen in the last 50 years.
More than 8700 sightings were recorded during the period between 21/11/2004 and 23/05/2005.

...and that year Switzerland saved a lot of money on decorating it's Christmas Trees :biggrin:.
