Got up at 4 this morning so that I could visit Kings River Falls Natural Area in Madison County, Arkansas, before the light snow could melt. The first part of the drive out was up a long, steep, snow-covered hill. Had the temperature been a few degrees colder or the snow a bit deeper, I doubt I would have made it.

Glad you made it John, nice stitch too.

Splendid work, John. Love the water color and how it pops against the brown and white surroundings. And you caught it with quite a bit of water to boot. Very nice...

That's really spectacular, John and worth the effort. I like the way the river dissappears into the snow and frost covered trees in the distance. It does look, though, like it tilts a little to the right?
Great Winter scene.

As the others have said John, it's a beautiful image that was well worth the effort. Although the snow may have been light, it's nice that it was the kind that stuck to all the tree branches.

Outstanding! I love the contrast of the snow and the green of the water...Really Beautiful. Would love to see this in person in the snow.

I really like this John, not only the emerald color of the water and the falls, but I really like the looks of the almost b&w sepia type of color in the tree covered land surrounding the falls. I think it is really nice.

Beautiful shot, John. I'm jealous.
I expect if you barely made it out in your truck, I wouldn't have stood a chance with my car. It's not so much the car that's the problem, but there just aren't any bad weather tires that are made for it. Maybe the next car I buy will be a Subaru Forester or something like that.
