HO HO HO a very Merry New Year...

I must apologise in advance as this is not a wildlife shot or a beautiful landscape.

However, I thought as I hadn't taken too many photos lately and as it's the festive season you might all like to see something else I've been working on that's slightly out of the ordinary for this forum. And so, I present to you a timelapse video I took on my D3...which is made up of over 2300 photos.

Miami timelapse. I wasn't able to get a video embed to work so the link takes you to the video on my blog.

It was inspired in part by some of the sequences on the recent Life series so it's roots have come from nature and wildlife

I also did one with a pelican but it didn't stay quite still enough to work. Maybe next time! Although I'm thinking an alligator would make a more static subject!

Fran, it took some time to get the workflow sorted out but now I know what I'm doing it should make it faster (capturing the images will always be a slow process though of course!)

Thanks Ian
