I took my camera with me to work today, and I had to go to Boulder. As I came up to the overlook, the blue moon was setting, so I only had time to grab just a few quick shots. For Todd, here are the ubiquitous foreground rocks, and I chose to display the moon as a star also.
Ooops, I meant for Stan!

Neat shot, Morris! I like how the fence runs out to the horizon. If you ever get another opportunity, and if its possible, might be cool to try to incorportate some of the street lights into the shot. Have a great New Years!

Awesome Morris. I envy you. Situations conspired to prevent a shot of the blue moon for me. I'm like Stan, I really like the fence taking your eye right into the sweet spot. Great shot.
Thanks, guys. Brian, that's hilarious. I might make the 2.5 but the 19 is real iffy.

Wow!
Love how the fence leads my eye right to that moon.
Also like the 'moonstar' effect and that slice of warm colors offsetting the predominant blues.
Fine work, here, Morris!

Very nice Morris. Good to see folks were able to get out and shoot over the Holidays.
As others have said, the fence provides a nice feeling of depth and the moon star is neat to see. It looks to me that an internal reflection is showing up below the moon (red dot?). Might be good to correct that spot.
Well done.

Beautiful, the exposure is perfect, which isn't a given in a shot like this.

You only have to wait another 2.5 years for another blue moon and another 19 years for another shot to get it on New Years eve.
