One of the landmarks along the Hurricane Creek section of the OHT is the natural bridge. I attempted to visit this place yesterday, but GPS issues spoiled the trip, which was probably a good thing, since it was so foggy yesterday and the views from here are spectacular - a real SSS as Tim E. calls these kinds of places in his guidebooks.
Though I didn't come away with anything to write home about, I was able to spend some time relaxing and listening to the creek below sing its merry tune. I'll be back...
Best wishes to all for a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2010!

I'm sure your visit had its own rewards Bill. That's a spectacular area... I made four trips to the area in 2009, and I won't stop until I've seen the entire length of the creek.
Best Wishes for you in 2010.

Being out is reward enough.

Bill the Hurricane Wilderness is a great area and the creek is a real jewell! Sounds like you had a great time!

Looks like it was still a nice day to get out. And that is all that counts.
