Des has beaten me to it with this - another image from the Galloway Red Kite trail.
I went back on on Thursday and was glad to see a handful of people had braved the conditions to watch the kites. Several of which had to be towed along the ice road that leads to the farm. I'm sure the spectacle made it worth while though.
A slow shutter speed was used again for experimentation. Wasn't entirely sure what to expect but I quite like the wing blur.
Chris, I don't dislike it. The bottom half is good but the blur just doesn't work if I was to be honest. If it's silhouette you're after, then it needs to be defined. Looks a wonderful setting to be photographing Kites. All the best for the new year.
Thanks for the comments guys - they are entirely what I'm after.
I have a shot using a faster shutter speed but I was more curious to hear the reaction to this one. Plus I was lucky with the kite taking food from its feet.
Cheers,
Chris

the landscape is very nice but I would prefer the Kite to be sharp

I agree with Paul Chris - it's very nearly superb but ends up neither one thing or another.

I'm not sure on this one, I think it might be a grower as the bird is positioned superbly in a wonderful landscape. I've decided....I like it!!

Nice landscape but I am afraid the Kite a bit too blurred for me
