I end up using so many horizontal photos that I often look right past any vertical images I take in the field. Tonight while looking for some other images, I came across this one that I kinda like, from July of 2007 in the La Plata Mountains. I combined two images to bring some detail back into the whitest whites of the clouds, and cropped for a tighter comp. I hope it warms you up on this cold January night.

Like a breath of frost free air!
A lovely scene, and that shaft of warm sunlight looks so inviting.
Whereabouts in the La Platas was this taken?

John, this was along the Colorado Trail, on the hike back from Indian Trail Ridge to the trailhead near Kennebec Pass. I thought it was actually up on ITR, but clearly, I'm below ITR at this point.

You're killin' me, dude. I've been daydreaming of wildflower filled meadows and mountain peaks lately. This doesn't help. Nonetheless, it's a classic TC photo which is to say, "It rocks!"

Happy New Year, Cloud Man!

Nice image! I like how the hillside and light draws my eye downhill and around the bend.

Paul: I'm impressed! I love the CT, but I'd never thru-hike it. That's an admirable accomplishment, and I'll bet you're the only one on this forum to have done that.
