That's lovely. I love unblemished snow on a mountain forest. There's a nice flow from upper right to lower left (or vice versa, if you prefer). Great detail. Fantastic.

Great!
They've had a lot of the roads closed as usual.
Cheers, Steve

Yea our trip was cut a few hours short because of the closed roads yesterday. We got up with a slight dusting of snow in Townsend. My first thought was to hope for visible snow at Tremont. I have both a Spring and Fall shot from the bridge crossing the river and wanted to add a winter shot but it was not to be. The gates going both ways at the "Y" were closed. The ranger said it would be around noon before it would open and we had to leave by noon to be home for a nieces birthday party so we just came on home. As light as the dusting was and as dry as the snow was (it blew off the road as you drove by) I thought this was a little overly cautious. New Years day (the day the photo was made) we first went into Cades Cove but when there was a slight clearing we could see snow on the mountain tops. We left the cove only to get to Sugarlands just before noon and find 441 closed. We went into Gatlinburg and ate lunch and when we came back out 441 had been re-opened.
