New Years morning
I missed the rising blue moon as it was raining here on New Years Eve, but I did my annual go out to watch the sunrise on New Years Day. The cloud cover blew away over night so I was treated to clear skies and crisp temps. The photography was not great but I still think of it as a great way to start the new year.

So here are some trees waiting the first sunrise of the new year.

Her's to a great 2010!

I really like the colors in this shot. I've always thought photographing the sunrise on New Year's Day would be a great way to start the year, but I've never made it. Thanks for sharing this!

That gradient almost looks too good!

Darren, that sounds like a great way to start the new year. Some of us ushered it out and you ushered it in. Either way it's good to be out with camera in hand. Thanks for sharing. :wavey:

Nice image Darren, I like how you composed it. I made plans to go out for the sunrise New Year's Day, but when the alarm rang at 4 I hadn't gotten enough sleep so I just went back to bed.

Works for me, Darren. Beautiful warm and cool tones, and the trees add some interest. Happy New Year!
