Congratulations to the recipients of the 2009 Editor's Pick Awards!

This year we are showcasing the EPA in it's own special gallery - the EPA 2009 Gallery. The gallery can be accessed in the Galleries menu at the top of the page.

As is always the case, making the final selections is an extraordinarily difficult task. With so many excellent photos nominated by the moderators for recognition, it often gets down to the very end of the process to finalize the selections. Additional information on this year's EPA - and the selection process - can be found here.

Congratulations to all! What a way to start the new year. I feel honored and shocked. The whole process of getting that image and having this website as a resource is a dream come true. Thanks to all of you. There is not a better nature photography site on the web.

Huge congratulations to all the winners.

I am very honored to have been selected as a recipient of the 2009 Editor's Pick Award, the images on NPN are inspiring and the photographers here have incredible talent. I can; without a doubt, say that I have become a better photographer because of being a participant on NPN.

I am especially in awe of the great job Stan has done as moderator of the Weekly Challenge forum. Stan makes it fun to participate and contribute in that gallery and the challenges often provide extremely interesting images because photographers from all of the various critiques forums can participate and learn from each other.

The staff and moderators on NPN are the best. Thanks for all your hard work.

A huge thank you for the honor of being awarded an EPA in such an amazing year for photos; I'm well aware of how fantastic the photos posted are each and every week. I'd also like to specifically than Jim, Donna, and the moderators. Given the competition each week and year, picking EPs and EPAs is one task I don't envy.

Congratulations to all the EPA winners, and to all fellow NPNers for making this such a great place to be.
