Blue Moon rising and TPE
Thanks to Larry for getting the Blue Moon threads started. I thought I had a perfect plan for where I wanted to be and when I wanted to be there using The Photographers Ephemeris for a guide. But I screwed up (TPE said 5:20, I had 5:40 in my head) and I didn't make it to my spot in time. This was taken at 5:24 so I guess TPE is pretty accurate.

Olympus E-620, 50-200 @200mm and cropped.

Nice shot Ken. I like the 'line' the trees form and how it matches the line of the grass in the foreground.

It is interesting to see all these veiws of hte moon rise from around the state.

Good job Ken, even if you didn't make it to your spot (wish I had a dollar for every time that's happened to me). TPE is a fantastic tool (and FREE!)...

Hey Ken, I like the relative size of the moon in this image. The grasses and diagonal hillside are some other nice elements. I find myself wishing the branches hadn't intersected the moon but that's a minor nit. Nice job, thanks for sharing!
