Hi Guys,

It's still lovely winter weather out here and this morning i went to a place i know where Great Egrets rest at night. Usually they spread out into the grasslands early morning but as there is a lot of snow it was not hard to find them near one of the local streams.

Greetings and a Happy New Year!,

Jeroen Stel

Wonderful shot, full of drama and you have handled the exposure problems of so much white superbly.

I like the bird, the action and the pose, I'm not so keen on the light and the background, both of which I feel detract a little from a very nice image.

Very best for 2010
