Some nice light in Bishop over this past weekend. I like how exposing for the highlights renders scenes like this as almost monotone, when this is actually a color image. Thanks for viewing.

Anish, you sure love shooting from the grade, but then who wouldn't. You captured some heavenly light! Thanks for sharing the view we missed.

I love the grand sweeping view here, never been on the east side in the winter, must do it sometime, well done.

Great view Anish - a wonderful winter landscape with great light and drama in the sky. You might consider darkening some of the midtones in the sky for some added contrast and drama, but that's just a thought.
Love the light and scenery captured here. I must say, this really makes me want to get back up there. Nice work!

Thanks, guys. Roland, the exposure was pretty straight forward. I set the camera to matrix metering, and took a single exposure, checking the histogram to make sure I didn't lose any of the highlights. Due to the distance (the nearest point in the image is several miles away), the atmosphere softened the shadows such that I didn't lose any shadow detail either. What you see here is very close to the RAW capture, just a bit of contrast fine tuning in PS. Thanks again.

A beautiful scene that I get to see often. I knew I should have gone up over the weekend. Nice image, Anish.
