Redpoll
Was going to go out this morning but got too wimpy as it was minus 8 and had just come a cropper walking my dogs. So this was taken about an hour ago in my garden - through glass!

Nice image of this beautiful bird and not bad at all for a shot though glass.

Lovely pose captured and great detail saying it's through glass  :wavey:

Lovely colour and detail here. Nice relaxed pose too. Out of interest is this natural light or flash?

Hi Ian - it is natural light - no flash. The sun is to the left of the Redpoll, my window faces west. Incidentally it is on a log covered with snow/frost and there is a dark fence with green shrubs in front some little distance behind. :toast:

A lovely Redpoll image Kim. Great detail for having taken it through glass or like me did you clean the window yesterday in the hope of something perching up   You brought me luck with the Yellowhammer. I wonder if I'll get a Redpoll soon

Hi Kim

Lovely sharp image, you must have cleaner windows than me

The backgrounds a bit noisy but nothing that cannot be sorted

Someone else with clean windows - JR has a threat to his crown

I'd agree with Ian about the noisy BG, and perhaps the feet are a tiny bit close to the bottom of the frame Kim, but well done, and I hope your fall with the dogs hasn't done any lasting damage.
