Last Sunset of 2009
I took this at the same cove on Tuttle Creek Lake as I shot the blue moon rise. It was a really beautiful evening, great way to send out 2009. While I was there a couple of foxes ran across the frozen lake and right up next to my vehicle. I didn't get any good photos, but it was great to see.

This shot is a 4 shot blend (processed with Enfuse):
Canon 40D, Canon 10-22@22mm, f29, 1/20 to 1/2.

I've got a few other different views of this sunset and the moon rise at:

Looks like a great way to spend New Years Eve. Who needs Dick Clark

Nice shot, Scott.

I left a comment on my "sun pillar" about the "Y". That's lens flare. Only the vertical was the sun pillar.
You take great photos. Keep up the volume in 2010 and post a lot. OK?

very nice Scott. At first glance it looks like the beach to me. Great stuff.

Pretty scene that looks serene yet cold. Excellent composition Scott. The snow is a bit unnaturally purple on my monitor, though. Thanks for sharing.

Very cold and I like blue cast in the shadows.

Dang that looks cold! Nice work in getting out to shoot this, Scott. And just seeing the foxes must have certainly been icing on the cake!

Have a great year. I look forward to seeing more!
