Taken back in August, there were a few waders on the move including some of these, a dotterel and some Arctic ringed plovers.. They were quite obliging and seemed undisturbed by my 'seal' impression as I scrambled across the beach..

Kind regards,

Brett

I am sure we would all have enjoyed the seal impression

A very sharp shot, I like the lighting and I like the low viewpoint. The portrait format works well, but for me there is a little too much space at the top.

I really like the low POV and pose of the bird. The space on top does not really bother me that much..
Well done!

Beautiful pose and rocks. The space at the top is interesting enough to keep it as is, although I would like to see a landscape version too.

I'd echo Ian's comments Brett. I do like vertical images and this works well, but I too think a horizontal would work equally well.

great pose and composition, must admit am not over keen on the pebble beach but obviously that is the habitat in which you found them, excellent image though

Lovely portrait, really like the composition and the different shapes, colours of the pebbles I really like, adds depth to the image and takes you nicely to the bird.Very nice   :wavey:

For me this is the kind of shot that works best as stock (the space is really beneficial) in the portrait format and better as a standalone image in landscape mode. Since I'm sure you have both it will have been well worth the crawl as the pose and lighting is really nice.

Good space at the top for text. Not overkeen on the pebbles but its lovely and sharp throughout. I like the head in feathers look. Overall very nice.

Thanks for the kind comments folks.. Nothing I could do about the pebbles though since the majority of the Kent coastline is surrounded by a pebble or shingle beach..! Have to make do with what we have and is typical of the wader images from these parts..

Kind regards,
