This is a bit off topic, but I was curious if anyone is using the Droid and how they like it. I am a Verizon user and plan to stick with them when I get a new internet phone. I currently have an old-fashioned flip phone that only makes calls.
I saw the Google phone announcement today. That is another option, but who knows when Verizon will pick it up and I am not sure it is a good idea to buy a company's first effort at producing a phone.
It's excellent. The 3G is almost as fast as cable/DSL, and I get it almost everywhere. You can easily tether it to a laptop too, so you can get internet from the phone anywhere. If you have any specific questions shoot me an email.

I'm also pretty much tethered to Verizon. I really, really like the Droid! It's a "smart" phone and can multitask well, which many other phones don't. Also does GPS with navigation

I also use a Droid and agree with Floris and Linnet, except there are a couple of things that bug me.
The first can be atributed to my age since I'm an old fart - it uses a couple of arcane interface gimmics that I find annoying. Dragging an icon across the screen to answer a call or open the screen is sometimes a 'drag' ;-) Bad pun I know, but I can't help myself.
The second is only a problem for a minority of people. I can not get it to effectively sync with our corporate email, particularly the calendar. Since I'm the head of IT, it isn't because IT won't support it. The problem is we don't use Exchange Server. Oh well.

These are minor complaints. Over all I love it.
