Male Anole displaying with dewlap to a female.
I don't like captive stuff but its not that different from putting nuts in a feeder really.
Done this many times but never been able to get both sexes in the same shot. They are usually quite a way apart. If you think captive stuff is easy - try this. ! Took me most of the Christmas period and new year. Not a photo nasterpiece but an aim achieved.Fed up with birds on a stick.

an attractive pair and I've no doubt that captive animals can be as awkward as wild ones! Nicely composed.

Nice work John and it's good to see something different from time to time and captive or otherwise. Good that you managed to get them close together. A trick I learnt when out in the field is to use a mirror and the male will react to his reflection and show off his dewlap quite freely. It's certainly a lot better than most of the images you see in the guidebooks since they rely on showing the dewlap by pulling it out with tweezers..!

The female looks suitably impressed. Nice to see something a bit different.
