Was delighted when Fieldfare came into my garden today after apples, which I had put out. Took quite a lot of shots- but was a little disappointed with the snowy ones as they have a bluish tinge?? However this one only had snow in the far background on shrubs and I was quite pleased with the result. He also kept the starlings out for the day!!

Nice shot Kim, may be just a touch more room at the bottom? As for the bluish tinge in your shots with snow, couldn't you adjust the white balance in photoshop (or whatever else you use)? Easiest if you're shooting in RAW.

Thanks Adam, could not leave any room at the bottom, should have said - it is full frame - no cropping - it was literally just in front of me!!
I guess I must use RAW more often!
I bet you were delighted Kim and rightly so. That is a lovely image. Loads of detail and nice background.

Nice shot, they seem to like apples a lot. The blue cast on snow is normally a reflection of the sky on a clear day, or like Adam said, incorrect white balance.

Lucky you to get them in your garden. Blue cast is easily sorted in Photoshop even with jpegs. Go to enhance, adjust colour, and remove colour cast is the first option on my version.

Thanks for the comments - really appreciated, also for the advice on Blue cast. I have photoshop David, and will go on to that straight away!! Cheers

This is the Fieldfare I took with snow in the background, I seem to have been able to get some of the blue away following Davids comment, but any further suggestions would be appreciated.
