Ok, so having trekked to my favorite sea caves countless hundreds of times over the past few years, I was yearning to get a good combination of sunset and mid-tide to finally realize the vision I've been trying to convey at that spot.

Well, the tide was not quite cooperative tonight with the whitewater quite reaching as high as I had hoped to convey movement, but the sunset itself more than made up for the lack of wave action. Needless to say, the quest will continue for another day. Sigh reminds me of the old adage, you dont succeed unless you try try again...

Thanks for looking

Really beautiful, Bryan, the heavens truly held up their end. I find I like the image a bit more when I crop to the bottom of the © sign. Maybe it's just that the watermark is distracting and I wouldn't give it a second thought if it weren't there. Nits aside, I really admire the image.

This is a very special image.

Gorgeous sunset Bryan. I think it is a great shot overall. The framing of the cave takes it up a notch for sure. I agree with you about going back. I think what Craig recommends about a 4x5 crop works a bit better IMO.

Very nice image!

I wonder what version v2.9543 was like?

Very sweet sunset. Great sky and beautifully framed by the cave. I would concur with the crop suggestions, but looks great as presented.

Bryan,

Ditto on what Harley and Craig said. Ok, Jeffrey too. The framing really sets this off, but having the surf roll in over the rocks is great too. Definitely a place to return again and again. Where is this anyway?

I think it's gonna be quite hard to top this. I actually like the mixture of waterless sand, because it creates a water shape that mirrors the silhouetted cave opening. I wouldn't change a thing here... good stuff!

I don't know what you were hoping to get, but what you did get is very nice.

Nicely done. Love the rich blacks tones against the colors of the sunset

great capture !! great framing, sunset color and smooth water. I also like the crop suggestion, i like the water shape similar to that of shape used for framing.
