Flint Hills dressed in white
This is a shot from one of my favorite locations in the Flint Hills. I have long wanted to capture this area all dressed in snow.

The highlighted ridges contrasted with dark top-lines of the repeating valleys converging towards the middle make a nice photo.

Glad you were there and thanks for sharing, Wayne.

Beautiful shot Wayne. The blue shadows are especially nice. I only wish I could see a much larger version of this.

Good one, Wayne. I like the different layers of hills, and the bluish shadows certainly convey the cold in the air. Bbbrrrr!!!

Hey Wayne - Great shot. This place looks familiar from last January when we were out in the cold. At least it doesn't appear that you had the wind this time. Nice capture of the elements and the beautiful Flint Hills.

Love it, Wayne, The succession of hills from foreground to horizon help give the image a verticality that often seems to be hard to get in Kansas. The splashes of color from the red grasses are also very nice, and they help to give the hilltops a very sharp and well-defined edge.
