And the reason I went down at this time: Full Moon over the Crane Pools on New Years Day

Every one of these is a winner!
The choreography between the birds in both #1 & #2 along with the sweet lighting are what makes those two stand head and shoulders above many images I see from this place.

I agree with John, all three are great. The light and action are fantastic. Your planning paid off.
That first shot is awesome, Steve! The second aint far behind. The third one has a ton of potential--but something seems slightly off, maybe a bit too much cyan (?).
Thanks for the comments so far guys.
Stan, I purposely processed slightly cyan because of the time of day( before sunrise) and I did not want it too warm. This is another one that I did process a bit warmer and I ama bit torn about which one I like better: thoughts?:
Hard to pick a favorite out of the three. Like the lighting and colors.

I never get tired of watching those cranes. Especially in the mornings.
I much prefer the sky in the first version of the full moon over the crane pools, but the color on the birds appears a bit off.

First full moon shot is far better!
I think that this second one got 'warmed up' way too much and the shift in perspective isn't quite as attarctive.

They're all amazing! I love the moment in #2 especially.

These are all fantastic shots. I like the first version of the moon image. Makes me really wish I could get down there this year but It'll have to be crane fest at MVWR again.

Really great stuff, Steve! Both those landscape shots are amazing. I really like the poetry in motion and the whimsy of the first one.

Amazing work Stephen. I could look at that first one for a long time. Well done.

Stephen, all are great. Like first moon shot a bit better as a photo image. Second has a painterly look which might make a nice large print.
Overall, you had great success. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Very nice indeed! Gotta get out there one year soon...
I strongly prefer the "cyan" version of the moonset shot (at least on my monitor), but I wonder if cropping some of the water out of the bottom would make a better composition? I know you'd lose the moon's reflection, but you might see what you think.

Great work, Steve! The light on the first one is perfect. Gotta love sunset light that is side-lit and then a little touch of reflected light from the water. Super cool.
