Hi guys, I'm moving to Austin the beginning of February. Never have been there and I'm looking for contacts in the area that might introduce me to Austin.

Drop me a line, please if this is your neck of the woods and you are willing to assist another member of NPN. :wavey:

Thanks,

Carol

Carol: Of course I'm in Houston so can't give you any specific direction but you're moving at a great time. We' re having a cold wet winter and that usually means a flower filled spring. The conditions were so bad last year that I didn't waste the gas going to the Hill Country but I'm anticipating a number of trips this year. Bookmark this site for reference. When the season heats up it comes in real handy. Congrats on coming to the Lone Star state. Yee haw! :jump: :jump: >=))>

Bill and John,

Thanks for the pointers to the wildflower page and photographers social club.

I'm sure both will come in handy.

Bill, the site is incredible for flower ID. I've not seen a better one.

Hopefully an NPN member will come to the fore from Austin

Onward and thanks,

Carol

I visited Texas only once, 8 or 9 years ago, but I remember there was a wildflower farm on the road between Fredericksburg and Johnson City. Very cool place. Maybe someone who is more familiar with the area can give you more specific directions. Also, San Antonio's riverwalk, and the missions in the area make for some great photo ops.

Thanks, Kathy, I've been to Texas several times but never the Austin area. Should be a great adventure. And John, I did join the Amateur Photo club. That too should be interesting...

Thanks, Folks,

Carol
