Harley,

Like the snow moustache on the truck. I love pictures of old vehicles returning to their natural elements, but I'm a little undecided on the oof background, torn with the way it emphasizes the main subject or wanting to see clearly the trucks enviroment. Just personal taste on my part. BW was well chosen as well.

 Looks like an old "Helms Bakery Truck" to me, Harley..... No doubt showing my age a bit with that comment.

Great stuff Harley! I'm glad you got to use your old Verito and its soft edges work nicely with this scene, IMO. I really like the highlight or sun's reflection on this old van and it makes me kinda wonder if the engine compartment is working somewhere....

very cool.

The tones captured here really give this vehicle a nice metallic looking sheen (particularly around sun reflection on the door). I'd be curious to see a version in tight just on the door and firewall (eliminating that shadow on the right side). Nice find!

Nice find, Harley. Judging from the small footprints (?), something might have already claimed it.

Yea... they might be missing some critical components! Nice find.

Harley,

Was the jack for the spare tire still, there? I like this. The selective focus works well for the subject, and the tonalities are all there. Neat find, indeed.

No, but I'll make a bet that the frame was solid and not cracked!

Harley,

Looks to me like this is just the body of the truck, it's quite common in these desert area's ( high desert obviously) for people to take a frame and drivetrain and put it to all kinds of ingenious uses. On Standard Hill near Mojave ( before they turned into a big hole in the ground ) there was an old Model T frame with engine and tranny still attached fastened to the ground next to a mine shaft and it was being used as a winch . The body of that one had long disappeared.
