Firstly, thank you for the responses to my previous Hare photo! It's always appreciated.

School has been snowed off all week, so I've been out every day with the camera! Yesterday I went over to the local marsh to see what was about, but it was all frozen over and nothing was there! So I went to the river, and only half of that was frozen! There were a few ducks and Coots on it. Here's one I managed.

EXIF:

Canon EOS 30D, Canon 300mm f/4.0L IS USM + 1.4x TC
1/200, ISO 200 @ f/6.3

C&C Welcomes & Appreciated,

Thanks again,

Craig...

Excellent detail in what is often a difficult subject. I quite like the composition but the image could do with a slight rotation to get it level. Nice one Craig.

Lovely. Great colours, angle of view and pose. Did you mange any with the coot a little closer, thus softening the background just a little?

Hi Craig

very nice shot with plenty of detail :toast:

Minor nits re the slope on the water and background already covered.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I've done a little rotation in PS, I hope this is better.
I do have some more with the Coot closer, though they're not 'technically' as good.

Thanks again,

Craig..

Ah.. I seem to be having trouble adding an image to my reply.. can anyone help? Thanks!
