Eric, very well named and photographed. This is really super for overall tone and exposure. For some reason, I want to rotate it 180, but then my thinking is a bit upside down at times.

Great colors here, Eric and I really like the layer rock and rounded cobbles. Interesting perspective too.

Really nice natural abstract. I really like the way the colors are complementary throughout, yet the texture of the strata and the stones provide contrast.

Eric,
This is awesome! Putting the awesome color aside for a second, I really like the contrast between the lines of the strata in the rock vs. the roundness of the stones. And the stones themselves have lines and patterns as well, so there's even more going on than meets the eye.
One of my initial thoughts was, Kuyper meets the Popps... and I think you would know that's a compliment. Great stuff! All in SoCal.... amazing.

A wonderful abstract, Eric, with superb colors, plus good shapes and texture.
Man, this really does look like an opened up cadaver, or at least, what I imagine one would look like. Awesome colors, in addition to some great shape contrasts. Love it!

I did turn the laptop udside and I really like it that way, thanks to Paul. The patterns are really nice and so are the rocks especially the odd ones with rocks inside of them.

Eric,
This is one of those images that works any direction, I'll bet it would even look good as a mirror image.
Very cool, love the lines coming from the rocks--reminds me of the sun.

Thanks all for the comments... yes Lon I take being mentioned in the same sentence as those two as a very nice compliment.
For the record, the image was in fact flipped upside down. The rib cage looked much more pronounced in this manner, for some reason. I'm glad to hear that it didn't resonate quite right with a few of you, and I will display it as taken in the future. Although as Mr. Duval mentioned, I do like it even in a landscape mode too.
