Hi Marek,

Regarding the pink footed goose, Lady Anns drive near Holkham in Norfolk always used to be a decent place for them, not sure if they are still there now though, other than that you could try Martin Mere WWT reserve in Lancashire because that is also a good spot I think.

The Caerlaverock Reserve for the Barnacle goose in my opinion. Went up there last year about this time and saw thousands going to roost from the reserve. Also there were a few in the fields along the entrance road too.

Hi Marek,

I'd second WWT Martin Mere in Lancashire for the pinkfeet; the surrounding mosses are also good spots to see them when they leave their roost at Martin Mere. There are only approx. 10,000 there at the moment as they tend to move on to Norfolk but the numbers should start to increase in the next month or so as they stopover on the way back from Norfolk. Hope this helps; let me know if you need more specific information.

Good luck,
Rob

Hi Merek

Cearlaverock wwt near Dumfries, will have thousands of gese on site and some veru good hides to wait in.

Pilling Marsh on the Lancashire coast is another area well worth a visit for geese, it's between Fleetwood and Morecambe

Hi Marek when are you thinking of coming over to the UK as I live on the lancashire coast and can show you a few good spots that are free.

Marek the area around Docking and Stanhoe in North Norfolk are usually good spots. During daylight you just have to have a ride round and look for them feeding in Sugar Beet fields. If you keep your eye out every now and then you will spot a massive flock up in the air. Then just head off in that direction armed with a map and you can find them this way.
