Hi Everyone, next week I'm going to the Badlands of South Dakota for the weekend with my dad and a fellow photographer. The goal is to do some wildlife photography and maybe some landscape and night shots. Is there any particular place in that we should check out? I know the other photographer Im going with a something in mind, but it's always good to ask people familiar with the area if there any great locations for the photography we plan on doing. Thanks. Joe.

Joe,
I've only been through the badlands one time and that was during the summer. Colorful.

I wonder if it is advisable to travel there with the blizzards of past days. Wildlife might be congregated but then you have to find that congregation...

And the risk is elevated.

And some of the color might not be present--covered by snow. Bleak in in Kansas for the last 3-weeks.

Just thinking out loud.

Keep us informed.
