I'm sure lots of folks will post great ice images from this weekend. Here is a snapshot just to show you what The Glory Hole looked like all filled up with ice this morning...

I've never seen anything like that before... The blue tint at the top really adds a lot. That must have been a sight!

really cool stuff Tim, that is a ton of ice. It reminds me of a shot of Cedar Falls completely frozen that has been around for a while.

That's pretty amazing, Tim.

Looks like mild temps

I'll agree with the comment about the quality of the blue at the top. That is some great color.

..I guess the Glory Hole advice, don't fall in the hole, didn't apply to this day? =)..

Actually it would have been even worse. While the entire funnel around the top of the falls was completely frozen over, there was still a hole down through the middle of the ice column where the creek was running - that meant if you happened to slip and fall into the hole then you would be trapped inside the column of ice! Your body would have been released sometime in March....

That's sure some beautiful blue color at the top. Really nice.

It's been several years I think since the temps have stayed this low for so long. I hope it takes care of a few ticks and chiggers!
