Colorado River View B&W
I don't think I have ever posted something that wasn't from California, it's Arizona but taken in on the California side of the river. Not the greatest shot but just gladly sharing the view.

Here is a larger one on a blank page.

I think I like the B&W version more than the color version at ESS and I like the color version. Works for me.

Very cool! It's almost hard to get a sense of scale in regards to those distant hills. They look like they could be gigantic snow capped mountains in the B&W version.

Steve,

If your tripod is standing on the California side your still taking an image of a California view technically. That's some interesting geology on the Arizona side there. I didn't see the color post on ESS but this BW version works for me.

Both versions really come alive in the larger views, and both the color and b-w have merits, but I think the color version offers a sense of depth that is not in the b-w image.

I like the color one more - the cool/warm contrast adds a lot for me.

Nice conversion, Steve, but I really like the color version. That blue water moving through the barren landscape is hard to beat.
