Fieldfare -
Lots of these around at the moment I know - but I did like the natural setting although I find snow difficult. Taken in my garden this week.

An excellent result! Great pose, bird is nicely framed and the snow is a real bonus.

The shot I'm still after! I had another go today, but no luck. Still, I'm glad someone is getting good shots of them like this.

'Nits' covered Kim, but for me it looks a tad 'noisey'. Not sure about the ISO, but ask, why -1 comp as you had the same setting for the GWT too? Or is it me?

Thanks to all for the comments. Steve - the ISO 400 - well the light isn't brilliant at the moment - the shutter speed varies every shot nearly. This was up to 500 but a few seconds before down again to 100. -1EV - yes have kept it down because of the snow/ exposure.

I like everything about it Kim. No nits at all. :wavey:

Gorgeous colours and a great setting. This is one of my bogey birds Kim - I'm jealous!

I don't usually like "framed" shots very much; they often look too contrived, but this works and I like it very much. Well done.

Indeed very nicely, and naturally, framed Kim. Typical disgruntled fieldfare expression too!

Wish I could take one like that!

There might be lots of them about at the minute Kim, but none of them are appearing in my view finder

A classy portrait - lovely bird.

Cheers,
