Picture speaks for itself.

You've all probably seen this type of scene before. Nature is beautiful but it is ruled by the rule of tooth and claw.

Yes, I have. When I was young, I used to follow rabbit tracks in the snow. Many times they would come to an abrupt end, right where the wing tips had brushed the snow on lift off. Thanks for the image and bringing back a youthful snow memory.

Looks like a small bird, just my guess though. I ran across a pile of similar feathers out at Lake Beaverfork here in Conway yesterday morning.
