I'm currently an aspiring photographer. I have been told I have some talent and passion for the work.
My current work is located at
http://www.rodsbugsnphotography.blogspot.com/
I have holes in my work--composition, exposure etc. I want to become a really good photographer. Willing to put the miles on the shoes so to speak.
I learn better hands on and always have. I read extensively and have learned alot but I lack the hands on.
If there are any folks out there willing. Being a fly fishing guide I know the value of hands on and would be willing to arrange payment for time spent.
Pretty normal guy needing some helpful instruction

Well, judging from a quick skim through your images, you seem to have exposure and composition pretty well down. The next thing I'd work on would be lighting...like avoiding mid-day sun...that type of thing. The other thing I'd recommend is to shoot...shoot...shoot!

There are lots of photographers out there nowadays offering hands-on in field workshops, that's always a route you could go.

If you have the time, add to your search a discussion with the head of the Photography Dept at your local community college or UW to determine if they offer what you need in comparison to other sources.

Hi Guys
Thanks for your imput and help.
Ken--Appreciate the kind comments on my work. The composition and exposure is coming along but I need work still to get it solid. The light---sometimes I can't avoid the mid-day sun--sometimes because the nature of guiding and what I do--have to take some of the shots when I can. It's like the Damsel eating the Callibeatis Mayfly--only happens mid day. I do understand what your saying and always looking for the sweet light :)
George---I do know where the Brookies hide :) It's in the mountain west and easy access you interested? Now knowing where, how well have to trade learning aspects :) Still interested :)
Ryan--Always looking for moments to spend time with other photographers. I have always been in places that have been in small populations and not alot of other photogs. However, I'm close to alot here in Cheyenne and Colorado :) yeeepee I just need to talk some folks into some of there time :)--paying my way of course!
Bill--Checked with Local Community Colleges, Specialized Colleges in Denver that have been suggested. Some have programs but require you to take classes that you dont need to get to the classes you do need. Art history for instance to get to Digital Photo Processing. I recogonize that I could learn about Art and use some of it for current work. Not booing it at all just not as applicable as what I would be looking for if that makes sense. I still have one more to contact so we will further research. The Center for Fine Arts in Ft Collins is looking like my best bet as far as distance and costs.
