Not a Myth
You know all that urban legend stuff like alligators in the sewer etc and natural legends like Bigfoot, chupacabra, The Loch Ness Monster. The green flash at Sunset. Well this evening at Pt. Vincente I captured one in an image. Never would have seen it if I hadn't been looking through the viewfinder with my finger on the shutter, when it happened it was over so quickly and so phenomenal, I was beside myself trying to enjoy the moment and fire the shutter.

Nikon D300 300mm telephoto -1 ISO -1 exposure.

I have seen the green flash a few times, but super job capturing it!!!! This might make you famous. :biggrin:

That's excellent! I've never seen it, but that's a great capture of one! Try submitting it to APOD.

Great shot! I saw one recently, but never got a shot like this. The 300mm is really nice here. The horizon appears a little tilted.

Great capture! The only green flashes I've ever seen were in Big Sur & San Diego and have never been lucky enough to have camera in hand at that precise moment. Color me jealous :toast:

Very cool! I always wanted to see this for myself, but I guess I'll just have to enjoy this phenomenon through well captured images like this. Good stuff!
