The prolonged spell of severe weather is not only bringing us some unusual garden visitors (including Barn Owl, Reed Bunting and Snipe - none of which I've been able to get a decent shot of ) but is also making some of the regulars much bolder in approaching feeding stations.
We regularly have small groups of LtTs working through the hedgerows along the garden boundary but recently this duo have been brave enough to visit a feeding station only a few feet from the house.
By the way, the image has lost some detail in compression/processing for the web and perhaps looks a little soft. It's fine at full size and printed at A4
Taken with Canon EOS 7D and Canon EF 100-400 L lens at 400mm, f/5.6, 1/320th sec, ISO400

Only nit for me Jeff is that they look a bit on the soft side - simple to rectify.

great composition and background Jeff but it does look quite soft. As Andy says, easily rectified.

I like these little birds - they've been in my garden too recently, which is also less usual. It'd be nice to see one of these in slight profile so more of the tail is seen too. Nice shot and composition with the triangular branch works well.

good to see you managed to get two birds close as they do not stand still for very long
