White-fronted Geese
For me winter really starts when i see Geese entering our country such as Taiga Bean Geese, Brent Geese, Greylag Geese and these White-fronted Geese. I was actually out to get some shots of Taiga Bean Geese as they are the most scarse ones but was glad to get a couple of shots of these too..

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Strange name for a goose that doesn't seem to have a white front.

Lovely shot of the birds against a hint of a background. I like it very much. :toast:

Mike,

The name refers to the white at the front of the beak, and is a wonderful example of the many illogical bird names in Europe.

Jeroen,

Lovely shot which also captures the atmosphere very nicely.

Two great formation shots in one day on here! I really like the uniformity of the position of each bird here :toast:
