The Bighorns have been out along 34 West of the turn off to Drake.
I've been seeing them for the last three days if anyone is interested. I've seen 8 rams and several Ewe's in a bunch at a time.
Makes for some interesting shooting among the rocks. Best time for light is early afternoon.

#1 is cool for the vertical feel and nice curl on the ram. It looks like it's a bit tilted, but could be the tilt of the land. #2 is soulful, but the cutoff legs are unfortunate.

Two nice images Don, #1 being my preference since it shows the Bighorn doing what they do best - scrambling around on impossibly steep terrain!. Thanks for the info too on their location!.
Amazing timing on your post! Got up today thinking that I will search for some Big Horns on Saturday. A guy from DOW suggested Georgetown...someone else said to go up to Clear Creek...Highway 34 sounds like the best deal! Thanks, Don.
And, hey, the photos are fantastic.

Both are very nice, Don. I especially like the family portrait.

Nice, as said, I like #1 b/c it's more than just a portrait, and shows him negotiating gravity.

Thanks for the update!

Thanks Don, nice photos, I was there today and they were happily eating salt in the middle of the road, not just one or two but a whole herd of them! One was eating off the double yellow line so I think I see another caption contest coming up!

Great photos Don. I like Ram scrambling on the rocks. Nice shot!
I may take a road trip down that way. Thanks for the headups. If anyone wants to go let me know. I always enjoy the company.

Like the first image with the bighorn balanced on the rock. Really shows their environment.
