Mountain Hares in the Scottish Borders
After days of trying to find these beasties, I managed to get some pictures

It was late afternoon and the light fading but managed a few of shots.

Canon 50D, Canon 500mm f4 lens + 1.4 converter, f5.6, 1/200sec, ISO 640

I like this a lot . Can't make my mind up about the sprig of conifer though. Very nice whatever.

Very nice Ron. I think the conifer balances the image very well.

Very different, I like it a lot but also a touch blue, easily remedied

Lovely portrait, I think the conifer helps to give some context as well.

That makes for a balanced image Ron and without the conifer it wouldnt be quite the same.
That Hares not bad either. I will just have to have a go at one of these sometime.

Hi this is really nice. I think it works with or without the vegetation but my preference would be without it. Potentially would work quite nice in portrait composition.

This is "art" for me too! If anything, I'd like it a bit smaller in the frame, giving the conifer a little more room. Wonderfully captured!
