South Platte Park Sunrise
Hey all,
This picture was taken down at South Platte Park on Wednesday morning just south of W Mineral Ave, with a Canon 5d at 19mm F/16 with no filters used. I'm very much so an amateur photographer and I'm in need of some criticism of my work it would be greatly appreciated. I plan on posting here a lot more often in the very near future as I was pointed here by my brother Michael Renner Jr which I’m sure some of you know. I look forward to all of your Comments.

Thanks for your time.

Brandon....welcome aboard...this community is wonderful... and we have some wonderful, extremely talented photographers here. Beautiful reflections... love the colors and looks like a great place. I think you still can pull some more details out of shadow areas. Also may be pull back a bit to include more foreground.... ? Just my two cents..... you definitely have the eye for photography...great job sir... :toast:

Welcome to RMNPN, nice first post!. I like how the curving shoreline splits up the image, some great clouds and colour!. I would try and open up the shadows a little as Rajeev mentioned, look forward to seeing more!.

Hey Brandon - glad to see you posting an image over here! I like this one, great colors in the sky and in the water. As Rajeev mentioned, it might be nice to either include some sort of foreground here, or crop it to more of a panoramic.

The crop would give a little more emphasis to the reflection and the tree line and get rid of some of the dead space at the bottom.

It looks like the FG has some nice texture under water. I would suggest using an ND grad filter to allow a brighter FG, so we can see that underwater detail. The colors are good. I would also darken the dike even more, since I don't care to see the details in it. Thanks for posting.

Hey all,
So here I have cropped the image to a panoramic as well as lighting up the exposure a bit. Please let me know what you all think do you like the first one better, or the seconded one.

Thanks for all your help!
