As many of you may know, I was an Artist-in-Residence last year on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. One of the requirements of the Artist-in-Residence program is that the artist must donate an original work representative of his or her medium to the park's museum collection.
It's time for me to select an image to donate. As I have become very attached to several of the images, I am having a very difficult time selecting one. I have (with the help of my wife) culled my selection down to 15 photos, but I need your help selecting one to be donated to the park.

Since Lon set a precedent, I'll pick more than one...and do him one better. :)
#4, then #14, then #6

I would go with #14 for sure because of the combination of breathtaking light and somewhat unique view. I like that #9 speaks to the full GC experience, and I prefer it over the other photos that do the same thing (#8 and #10). For the last, it's hard not to go with something classic, and I think #13 works out best in that regard. Keeping them all in color seemed to make sense once I got started.
#1 and #2. I have a feeling that #2 will shine even more in print - the distant details are what intrigue me most, and the layers are so rich in tonality that it really grabs me. #1 is simply classic beauty.

#1, #10, & #13
I like #1 simply because it's an effect I've not seen done of the Canyon, and yet there's no mistaking the locale. #10 is simply an explosion of color you don't expect to see in the Canyon.
MY choices in no particular order are- 5,6 and 13 and here are my reasons.
I love teh B&Ws but the true grandeur of GC lies in its scintillating colors, so I eliminated those!
A couple of other shots are quite unique (e.g confluence shot- though I totally love it!! and Ribbon Falls- very different) and since this is different than what 90% of normal tourists to GC would come I feel, the 3 shots mentioned above captures the true essence and almost everyone would instantly recognize that shot to be GC. Hence these are my selections!
(It was very tough to omit 9,14 and 11, but you asked to choose only 3 :D).
Good luck!

14, 13, and 3 in that order for me. I can see why you would have a hard time choosing.

Adam, I came up with EIGHT that are must-haves, but somehow I reluctantly eliminated 5, so my three desert-island shots are:
#12 - Best B&W in your set, Ansel would be proud.
#14 - I'm a sucker for backlit sunrise/sunset, and this one works, especially as vertical
#1 - Unique, perfect for large print
Leaving out 4 & 6 was painful.

Adam:
I'll cast my vote for 14, 13, and 4 in that order. Some very nice work.

1, 6, & 14. Looks like you had a super experience, one to remember.

I'm with Floris, I think #2 will make the best print. But doesn't look like it's getting any votes.

Wow! Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I also appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback about why you voted for one image over another.

Number 4 and Number 13.
These two give me the best sense of the immensity of the place. I also feel that they are the best at letting me have my own emotional response to the scene.
