This is not exactly a nature image, but I made it in the middle of the Mojave desert at an abandoned mine, so I was out in nature. And some nature is almost visible through the windshield, or at least what used to be the windshield. Yeah, it is stretch, but it is one of my favorites from my trip over Xmas and New Year.
The scene and locale gave me a chance to play with my 90 year-old Verito classic soft focus portrait lens and some black and white film.
Harley, the only thing missing on the steering wheel is a "broddy knob". I wonder if the windshield was tempered glass? If these old vehicles could just talk, I wonder what stories could be told?....another neat historical capture here. Additionally, on what stories could be told, I really wonder what events that old Verito has seen in it's days, I'll bet all kinds of interesting things have ventured through that piece of glass.....

Well seen, Harley. I wish that NPN or the California Forum had
a specific gallery that allowed for this sort of imagery. I used to
occasionally submit to the, I believe, "Other" gallery, but it was
eventually cancelled. Consequently, we're missing out on a lot
of interesting art.

I like the vintage look captured here... in both subject matter and process. Works for me!

This works for me too, I live in the high desert and enjoy going exploring and finding items left behind that are left to nature to decay. This is one of those images that make you wonder...what's the story.
This is great, BDOF #2. I like the selective focus a lot. I do find the bit of remaining windshield glass a little distracting due to its brightness. The tones and their range are quite nice. You're getting the hang of the B&W process!
