Im heading to Maui for my honeymoon this March and I had a few questions.
As I'll most likely be in or around water a majority of the time I have a few concerns. Im looking to either rent (if possible) or pick up a underwater housing or bag. Id prefer a bag type style as I'll probably be swimming and wading with camera which will double as protection as well. Any tips or suggestion will be most helpful.
If there is also a good dry bag that will float and double as a waterproof sack for my camera gear and essentials. Just getting my things together and thought Id pick all your brains.

thanks again

The EWA Marine housing is an affordable "zip lock bag" that does the trick. It's awkward to manipulate the camera controls, but that's what you get for the price. Congrats on your upcoming marriage, and have fun in Maui!

Anthony, if youre just gonna be snorkeling you might try a dicipac bag, theyre a third the cost of an EWA. Youre limited to about 15 feet depth (as opposed to probably 100 feet for the EWA) but if you arent shooting way underwater it might be a better option. Another possibility is to buy an underwater camera--sourse you lose the flexibility of the SLR but for about the price of a cheap housing you get a camera that is dedicated for underwater shooting. Good luck!

Thanks Guys,
I actually got some pretty awesome input from Michael Anderson. He was very helpful and I think Ill hold off and research a little more. Something to chew on for sure. I have had comps pop in my head and ideas but those things are so darn expensive. Much appreciated though

I went to Hawaii this September and used an EWA-marine bag. Like Floris said it's hard to manipulate the controls but if you set everything close to wear you want it they work great.
