Back to my Bar-Headed Geese, preening. Just wished the bill was sharper :frown:

Lovely shot Steve. The detail in the feathers is wonderful.

I think this is a great image, different perspective, the bill looks fine, as it is the pattern of the feathers being preened that focuses the attention of the eye.

Works for me.

A most refreshing new point of view, very pleasant, and it works for me. The beak looks fine, and the colour of it is essential with the neutral tones around it. Everything that needs to be sharp looks sharp to me

Works for me Stephen, although I feel the image could do with a tiny bit brighter, which will reveal more details in the shadow area, which I can just about see on my screen. I prefer these angles personally than the outright portrait sometimes. Good work.

Thanks guys, I also meant to say on the posting, thanks to everyone who took the time to comment on the 'pochard'. :wavey:

Des on the TIFF there is more detail in the shadow areas, I just added a tad too much in levels on the posting. Would like to work along the lines of Mr M's work

cheers

I like the angle of this too. Plenty of detail in the image and I also think the beak looks fine. :wavey:

Hello Stephen.

I also think this as work really well and the close composition is just perfect for this image and fills the frame nicely.

I know it might be just down to different monitiors but I would also just give this a little boost in levels on the white side just to liftit up a little.

I love this. Really good comp and a well spotted and very unusual angle. This is a very elegant image and a memorable one too. I suspect a carefully worked b&w version would be a stunner too. Excellent!

Hey Steve

Really strong image, well seen and executed though I'd echo the comments about a little lift in the brightness

Well done
