I'd like to hear your thoughts on the vignette I applied to this first shot...I keep going back and forth. Comments/critiques are appreciated on all the other ones as well. Thanks again for looking.

Vignetting looks a little strong to me. You are losing detail areas and white snow is turned black, which to me should not happen with vignetting. I think if you can tell an image has been vignetted, it is too strong.

Hi Justin,

I do agree with Joe on the degree of vignetting...way overdone. However, that's why you've posted, and made the effort. Hope you had fun in Ouray!

Your main subject here is ice axes, so I think it would be better to crop than use a vignette here.

The vignette might be a bit heavy on the edges, but its ok with me. Might work better in B&W. I also like #3 here.

Justin, I agree with others comments on the vignette...but my problem with the image is more that the subject is cut off at the bottom. I may have shot it vertical. I like #2 best.

I like the effect in #1 but agree it would maybe have been better to shoot it vertical and include all of the ice axes. #2 has really excellent color.
