Nikon D300 user.
Hi ,when I tryes to open NEF (nikon raw)in viewNX I get this inoing mesegasse :unsuported file format . I use two harddisks and there is random when I get this messegasse,next time I try to open the same file it opens with no problem ?? Close to leaving nikon :-(
Is there other programs witch open NEF or ways to fix this problem,all updates done by the way.

Try uninstalling and re-installing your Nikon software
or
Get a different RAW converter, e.g. PhotoShop ACR

Your Nikon software is older than the camera that made some of your RAW files. You may need to update your software to the latest version.

The problem is most likely just a matter of updating the software to the latest version. I had the same problem the 1st time I tried to open RAW images from my new D90.
