This lil guy was not concerned in the least with me taking his photo. He just wanted to eat.

He looks cold!! What a neat image. His yellow breast contrasts so nicely against the snow, and you controlled the whites perfectly.

great detail, Amanda, the bird really looks hunkered down against the cold

Wonderful shot of the meadowlark Amanda, exposure and sharpness look right on. I spent some time last summer trying to photograph some meadowlarks in the flinthills. Didn't have much luck that time but it's one bird friend that I will continue spending time on. I think they are beautiful birds. Thanks for sharing.

A very fine photo of a beautiful prairie species. I tried several times to get a good photo of Meadowlarks while in Enid, OK, this past weekend, but none were close to yours. You really nailed the exposure on a difficult shot with all that white snow!

Very nice! The bird stands out well against the background and the lighting is great. Love the colors in this image.

Lovely seasonal shot Amanda. I've never even had a meadowlark in front of my lens so I'm jealous that you got such a nice shot. Well done all the way around.

Thank you Wayne....had a whole field of these. Laid down in the ditch ground level with my old 75-300 lens and shot away.......hasn't happened again since though.

A very fine shot of a species difficult at best to approach closely. I'm still trying though.
