a simple Pied Wagtail in the frost.

Canon 40D with 400mm f5.6 lens.

1/500, f7.1, ISO 400.

Here's a 1000 pixel version.

All C+C welcomed.

Thats a nice one Matt, I always fine these difficult to get a good image of, you have done well here, I like the subtle tones you have caught in the bg which seem to compliment the bird well...

Matt there is nothing simple about these guys. Most images tend to be quite contrasty, however you have handled this extremely well, with great detail and sympathetic, subtle colours. A very 'nice' image. :toast:

I agree with the above, an often overlooked species which is surprisingly hard to photograph, great shot in great light!

Nice image. I too would take about 1.5cm off the bottom.
