Where do you guys get 4x5 chromes developed? Reed or Slideprinter? Any advantage to either other than location? (I have to ship to either).

If you're only doing E6, I think photocraft does great work (but their shipping fee is quite high).
Reed has the highest price and the highest shipping fee, but they do consistent good quality.
Slideprinter has the best shipping price (free on orders over $50) + 4X5 E-6, C41 and B&W (and I think they can 8X10 E6 now). Their pricing is middle of the road on the developing. I've used all three, but have settled on Slideprinter as my main choice.

Its been a year or so since I've developed any 4x5, but I used Photocraft in Boulder for more than a decade and never, ever experienced problems. They are well controlled and do good work.
John, I use AGX Imaging, a company in the U.P. in Michigan (where i'm from). Its a small local full service lab. Mike's prices are very competitive ($2 per sheet), no extra cost for push/pull, and usually return ships via a small priority box which is cheap and fast. I've used AGX for years now and will for years to come.

I've always used Photocraft, but I was told that they didn't move the lab when they relocated, so now they send film out (and prices are up!).

John,
I've used PhotoCraft for the last 10 years and was very suprised to find out in September that when they moved to their new location they did not take the E-6 EQ with them. I kind of figured that they would be one of the last hold outs because they had such a good reputation beyond Colorado. They now send film to Reed and they no longer have 3 hr turnaround time or Economy next day service. It takes a few days to get your film back at a greater expense. I kind of figured most of the remaining film guys here were aware but it appears thats not the case. Reed seems to be ok thought I have to admit the extra cost and time required to get my 4x5 back has caused my to shoot less film and spend more time with my 5D II. It was an odd experience when the guys behind the counter told me the story and explained the new film handling procedure.
