I can't remember if some of you were telling me to buy Elements 8 after my dilemma with CS4, but I'm asking about it again because I'm really thinking about purchasing it right now, but I'd like to know if it has lot of the same features that CS4 did for photographers and their photo editing?

It's not comprehensive -- mainly it doesn't talk about fully supported 16-bit processing. Only some functions will work on 16-bit images, but I'm not sure which. You can also get full layer mask capability easily (among other extras) by getting "Grants Tools". Overall it is an extremely capable photo editor.
Either way, you can download it and try it out for 30-days for free on this Abode page.

Hey Andrea, I've used the Elements programs since 2.0 and have been very happy with my results. I've recently combine the Nik software Viveza program which is much easier to make selective adjustments, The combined tools work out great.

Thank you both, I will try the trial version first and see how it goes.

I have CS2 Elements 6 and Light Room. I use all three for different functions. I bought CS2,
Lightroom, NIK , and other plug-ins for 225.00. I bought them off a person who switched to a MAC and upgraded his software.

All three work great for what I need.
