Pond Reflections A Bit More Serious
I am still experimenting with reflections in the pond near my home in Bakersfield. I regard this as a more serious shot than my recent Rorshac Test. Unfortunately I did not have a tripod with me so this is a handheld shot. I would appreciate your comments on how to improve this image.

Canon Digital Rebel XSi, 24-105mm L IS USM zoomed to 92mm, f8, 1/50 sec. The image was cropped to remove foreground trash and car lights from a highway to the left (I don't live in a national park). I also adjusted the brightness and contrast using Photoshop Elements 7.

Thank you

Roland

I like the foreground and mid ground but I'm not sure about the top. It distracts me from the other parts of the scene. I'd consider cropping out the sky to just above the tree line so the focus is on the trees, water, and duck. Just my thoughts! Thanks for sharing.

This is a very calm, peaceful scene. I would agree with Mike on the crop suggestion. The bright sky seems to pull my attention out of the image. This is a nice take on a hometown locale.
